JB: Every job’s got boring bits. Every job’s got bits that people don’t like. And I think it’s fair enough, to be open, honest and transparent about those boring bits.
You might not put that in the headline. You might just have a paragraph further down the ad that says: “Not every day is going to be shiny and sparkling. Some days you’ve got to do the filing”.
Let’s face it, that’s the reality of the workplace.
It is OK to mention the bad things about a job, as well as the good. But it might not be your main selling point.
MS: It can be a technique that can help you. But in a tight candidate market, I would be nervous about leading an ad with something like that.
